virus problem

could a virus shoot down my computer?i have done backup and formatted my pc using restore cd and the problem was over.. was the problem caused by a virus?

If you successfully managed to get your pc back in working order after formatting then i would say it was a virus. Its not a hardware fault because you would continue to see problems if it was.

virus can break any computer. It could very well have been that.
