where are your favorite places, best place to live on a not outrageous budget, best places to visit?
i've always wanted to move to new york, and at the end of this summer i might be able to. how hard is it to get a landlord to actually consider you as a tennant if you are freshly 18 and not from New York?
any advice or experiences you can share with me would be GREATLY appriciated. =]

I have heard from others that you need to have a broker when looking for an apartment because there are too many scams these days. I would definitely look and ask around a lot before your move.
