What is the difference of age between you and your partner?

My wife is 9 year younger than I am. This has been great so far and it has not been a problem in any way. Furthermore, I have read some articles that an older husband is better than an older wife. I am not sure how true is that. Let's see what others would say.

My oldest child's father and I are 9 years apart, my first husband and I are 6 years apart, my 4th child's father and I are 4 years apart (I think?), my second husband and I are 3 years apart, and my fiance and I are 4 years apart. But have dated all age differences. At one time I was dating someone much older. I've always tried not to base a relationship on age, because who knew where Mr. Right was. And as you can tell, I had to have a few test runs. So, hopefully 3rd times a charm for me with marriage.

I am two years older then my husband but look so much yonger then him that it is hard for people to believe when they first meet us . I am tiny so many people always assume that I am so much younger then I actually am and my husband look older then he is just because of his size and the fact that he never wants to shave lol .
Although there are some people that assume the man has to be older , I have always found this ridiculous as age really has no bearing on two people that care very much for each other and when the age difference is so minor what does it really matter . You never know the age of a couple when you meet them and although one can speculate that one is older or younger it does not always mean they are right as in my case .

One should seek someone around your own age, otherwise a long term relationship will be very unlikely. Imagine being young and sexy, while your partner is getting really wrinkly and saggy. It's just not natural. You might have an "open mind" about it, but you won't see very many couples together for a long time with big age differences. I have an open mind too, but I don't go dating people my parents age. That won't last past a month or two.

My boyfriend is 7 years younger than me, but it works out great. He is still young enough to relate to my kids. My son is 13 and he looks at Nick with great love and respect, but also looks to him as a friend. They wrestle and play around like brothers, but if Nick gets on to Ben about something, Ben takes his punishment without arguing. The punishments are simple like grounding, or no t.v., and it's for things like low grades, or not doing his chores. I would also like to add that my girls love him, too. They have all told me that if we break up, the kids go with him(HA-HA). He spoils the crap out of them. He is 26 and this is his first relationship. We were frinds for a while, so he got to know my kids, but this has been quite an adventure. We have never fought, and our arguments are short and simple. There is something to be said for younger men, but I'm not saying it here.

I am eight years younger than my husband. In our country age is a major factor in marriage. In a father centered family, the head should be a matured one among others. However it does not make much impact on me and we have a good marital life. Thanks.

I am older than my fiance by a considerable amount, but we have both decided that age really doesn't matter, as long as we are happy together (which we are)!

I am 8 years older than my hubby. That used to really bother me when we first got together. I was very nervous when his mother found out. I figured she wouldn't like me due to my age. No hope of grandchildren through us. I don't even think about it now. We have been married over 5 years now and couldn't be happier.

My partner and I were together since we're just in high school. Now, she is already 18 and I'm turning 21 this coming June. Our age gap matters sometimes because she is some kind of childish at times. Because of that, we tend to quarrel each other which is really a messy thing for our relationship. And because I'm the man and I am older than her, I really manage to talk to her once in a while. It's to remind her of her childish acts and for her to act maturely to prevent future fights. I hate fights and so do she.
