how many times do you clean your ear?

People said that cleaning your ear daily may deteriorate your hearing ability..Is that true?I have a friend that clean her ear evryday using cotton bud and metal ear cleaner everyday and I saw that her wax were some kind of yellowish in color and different from usual excess which become liquefy.She became addictive and I wish I could help her..But how?

I clean my ear twice a month as I have to be very neat and clean to appear as boss at my office lol. I think I clean my ear twice a month just to hear everything clearly.Yes, it deeriorate you ear drums and you can resist if you are used to put buds in your ears. You can help her by taking her to some ENT docotr (ENT= Ear . Nose . Throat)
