I can not imagine what it is like to have an arranged marriage. To be told that you have to spend the rest of your life with someone that you don't know. You never get to experience the "thrill of the hunt". Finding someone, dating, falling in love. To just be told here is your future spouse, now go have a nice life is just more than I can fathom.

well that thrill u say is not experinced in this case. but the good thing is that u love ur spouse whole heartedly after the marriage.is that not possible?

I suppose you could fall in love with them, but what I am trying to say is that your parents choose who you will love. I think that is a choice that you need to make. Not them. I would not want to be told who to love.

now,you can't fathom it but if u come here in INDIA u'll see how well they cope up.well to be true there wud be unsuccessful relations also.but that happens even in love marriages so,one can't really position either over the other.In our society an arranged one is considered more privileged

so,what do u think u r scrapping here? i just saw ur last discussion that u r going to marry and that its arranged. NOONE HAS SAID U 2 HAVE TO BE TOTAL STRANGERS TO THE MOMENT OF MARRIAGE.then what do u mean by this blog here

Me, I would marry the person I love and have known for quite some time because it would make me feel a bit comfortable. I also couldn't imagine myself that I would marry a stranger, I believe if I will do that then I would really be stupid because I'm doing this commitment for my entire life and not knowing much about the person might sound trouble to me..

well u knoe i wud agree, but the fact that wat the person wud be like , how he wud behave,his likes everything can be scrutinised even in an arranged marriage,isn't this true

I would rather be with someone totally new. The excitement is there in not knowing really who the person is. I like to live life on the edge and not know what is gonna happen.

well thats a good view, but what do u say ,wud u continue dating while u have a WIFE AT HOME WAITING FOR U? by the way ,whomever u meet wud be new provided its the first contact. then whats the thrill in arranged marriage
