Who's The Next American Idol?

There aren't really much to choose from this season of AI, unlike the previous one when there are plenty of talents. But my bet for this year's AI is Jordin Sparks. She's young, vibrant, excellent singer who can sing almost anything and she's got a wonderful smile. Who's your bet?

I think Jordin is good but she just hasn't really been able to grab my attention. I believe that my favorite is Gina. I know that lakisha & Melinda are very good but there is just something about Gina. I love her style and I love the fact that she is not afraid to do and wear her own thing...I love it! But heck, you know what I don't really care who wins at this time as long as sanjaya goes! I am SOOOO SICK of seeing him make it through to another week. I just don't understand how he is getting votes. Thanks for the discussion post. Have a great day.

I like Gina Glocksen too. I like the rocker chick that is in her. But I don't think she'll be garnering enough votes to win AI. She's still a bit not stable with the American votes. I think she should settle with being a rocker chick but choose good songs that will also show off her vocal range. I'd actually like to hear her take on Evanescence "Bring Me To Life". I know she's sang "Call Me When You're Sober" but "Bring Me To Life" song would better showcase her voice.

same as you, i like gina glocksen too! i think she's a brilliant singer. sanjaya survives i think because of the votes...ah....i don't know... i don't like him either. he's just so lucky to keep on surpassing the competition each week. let's just see if his luck will last till top5!

My hopes would be for Blake and Jordin to be the final two and I would judge who should be the winner based off of their performances...I think Jordin ends up having the edge.

I think Jordin will be the better AI. She has her own style and yet she can sing any song. Well, almost. I haven't heard her sing a rock song yet. Well, if she can, she'd be the bomb. Hehe.

i love blake because he's innovative and he sings well. i hope he wins. but i think the strongest contender is melinda doolittle. she's so cute and humble :)

if Melinda keeps up giving good performances, she might end up as this season's AI. Although, I think Jordin would be the better AI. Her talent is very marketable because she's young and very talented. And Blake, too, because he's simply not just a singer but a beatboxer as well. And he has musicality in him that allows him to fuse the standards to the contemporary.

If I'm going to choose between the two, I'd rather have Gina Glocksen as AI because I'd definitely buy her cd when she makes one :-)

I disagree. I think there is a lot of talent this year it just happens to come from the girls. I think that when the judges picked some of the guys it was with the intention of making sure they weren't on the same level as the girls to ensure there will be a Female Idol this year. Don't get me wrong I think some of the guys are good, but they are not in the same playing field as the girls. Personally I would like to see Lakeisha win. I think that Melinda is very talented and I want to see her in the final 2 but she used to sing professionally even if it was as a background singer. I don't think that is fair to all the contests out there who have had no formal training of no real experience performing because it gives her an advantage. I love her though and i think she is great. I am ready to see Sanjaya & Hailey leave. I don't like either one of them. Everyone else can stick around.

I like the last season better, I think. Or I might still change my mind...
Melinda and Lakisha are excellent singers. But I already find them boring...because they're already so good! I hope though Lakisha would pick more memorable songs, though. She can sing all songs excellently but I don't actually remember 'em, except of course for her first song in AI which blew me away. Perhaps she's choosing old songs? I wish she'd do more recent tunes.
I like watching Haley. I just hope she chooses better songs next time. But if she doesn't improve by next week, I wouldn't be sorry to see her go.
As for Sanjaya, can't wait for America to boot him out.

I'd go for Melinda, Lekisha or Jordin.. all great singers and sings by heart. Love them! They deserve it.. whoever wins among these three, still deserves it ;)
