THE art of parenting des not mean just raising,feeding,sheltering,disciplining and educating the child.MORE important than ol dis to inculcate in the child the enduring vaues.....that wil make him useful and happy individual.If values are caught rather than taught,then,itis the child acquires these values more from his parents.A FATHER can talk about the virtue of honesty, but the child wil not listen if he knows that his father is a corrupt government official.ON the other hand,a mother can lecture endlessly about the virtue of housekeeping and not get anywhere with her daughter if she realizes that her mother is a untidy housekeeper.

The best thing you can do when raising a child is be a good example. Children look up to us, they want to be us. They want someone to show them the way. Too many parents take the "do as I say, not as I do" approach. I try to imagine wht my children see when they see me. I hope I always live in such a way that if they copy me, I will be pleased with what I see.
