In my experience I believe boys are smarter as they start out really little like pre-school and kindergrten, first grade, and then girls by pass them as they get older. Of course it mostly depends on the person how smart they will be as adults.

Scientific studies have shown that boys and girls are equal, they just develop at different rates so at some ages girls may smarter than boys but they really are not.
