Have you ever been knocked unconcious?

I have had this happen a few times. Once I fell out of a moving car when I was a small child. Another tim, I slipped when running on wet cement at the local pool. Another time my son got tangled in a lamp cord, pulled it from the shelf, and knocked me silly. I never had any serious problems after my accidents. What about you? Have you ever been knocked out? What is your story?

No, I have never had the misfortune to be knocked unconcious...touch wood. I was dazed a little after a traffic accident but I came around to the embarrassment of a large crowd hovering around me. I think I would rather have been unconcious then so that I wouldn't have to keep talking to the person who kept trying to keep me concious with his constant chattering.

More times than I can count. I'm surprised my brain isn't oozing out my ears by now. *laughs* The first time I can remember being knocked unconscious was when I was swinging from the ceiling in my basement playroom. It wasn't a finished ceiling, and there were all these open supports and boards. My brother was climbing through as well, and decided it would be a good idea to make me fall, which of course resulted in my hitting my head on the concrete floor. It wasn't much fun. Other reasons I've been unconscious: cats that used to walk under my feet, abuse, sleeping in trees, vertigo from Meniere's disease, falling down the steps and slamming my head into a glass door, having a hammer dropped on my head, and falling off a roof. Now when I really try to think how many times I've been knocked unconscious, I realize this might be part of the reason I'm missing so many memories. Scary.

Funny you should say this... it's always white cats that are around for me when I have bad luck. Weird, eh? Yeah, I'm having a pretty rough go of it when it comes to being injured. But I'm pretty lucky these days in other respects. =)

Yes I have. once when I was about 12 I was swinging upside down with a girlfriend on the monkey bars and her older brother came over and started kinda rough housing with us while we were upside down, and I got knocked off the rung I was swinging from. First I hit the ground and all of the air was knocked out of my chest, and it was from lack of air that I lost consciousness. Thats been along time ago now but I will never forget how badly it hurt not to be able to breathe.

Haha yup those mean brothers again! Not being able to breathe blows. I have a lot of breathing problems, and I swear it's the scariest thing.

Oh, I've had the wind knocked out of me, too. It really does smart! I guess I was pretty lucky that my older brother usually confined himself to 'gopher knocks'.

Aw.... I am so sorry to hear that such things have happened to you before. I guess I am fortunate... I haven't suffered from such experiences before. Please do take more care of yourself... if such accidents can at all be prevented...

I have not been knocked out to unconsciouness, but I faint a couple of times. Does it counts?(^^,LOL^^,) The first one was when my brothers and I were having our judo class. Our trainor was lecturing us something and suddenly I blackout. I almost fell on one of those huge mirrors. Maybe because I was tired and the heat, don't really know. The second time, was a melange of pressure, excitement, expectations and heat. I was waiting for a call. Results of my past job interview. My friends were texting each other the good news while I was waiting mine and suddenly it "heat" me. I didn't made it and I lost consciousness. And I woke up I was lying on the floor with my brothers and sisters so worried about me. So that's it so far, hope it won't happen again. And I hope you won't have anymore unfortunate events. Take care! (^^,)

I think it counts, and they are good stories, as well! I have 'felt faint' but never actually tipped over.

I have not been knocked unconcious! You are very unlucky! I was hit hard in the head with a swing at a playground, but it only made me feel dizzy and hurt. That is the closest I have come to blanking out.

I got nocked unconcious at a pool when I was diving. Bad idea not to check how deep the pool was.
