Just asking whether is there many people here who loves to play gambit openings? My personal favourites are the infamous King's Gambit and the Latvian Gambit.
Yeah.. anybody has suggestions/ways/ideas to play these gambit plays? I know that generally when you play a gambit you need to attack, attack and attack, taking advantage of the initiative you get by investing a pawn (or even a piece). But, yeah, if your opponent's a good player, by attacking, you sometimes could over-extend yourself and when your opponent counter-attacks, you'll be in a lot of trouble. And if your opponent manages to hold on the extra pawn till the endgame.. then you're also in a lot of trouble.
So...?

Sometimes I've played the scottisch gambit with white e4 e5 Nf3 Nc6 d4 ed4 c3,with black sometimes the white player plays the mora gambit to me : e4 c5 d4 cd4 c3
Another has played once e4 c5 b4 cb4 a3 ,to me he has lost this game but he told me in much cases he won with it.
By the way I played e6 on it and not ba3 like most players have done to him.

Love the Queen's gambit specially when Anatoly Karpov plays it but my favorite would be the Marshall Gambit, its one of the best. I become amazed by the power of this gambit when
Peter Leko played it against Vladimir Kramnik and crushed
him using Black in the World Chess Championship.
There are well known novelty moves by grand masters to counter attack the Marshall Gambit but it is still good to see a game when someone play this gambit.
I remember onetime playing my father. We are playing the ruy lopez like many times before. He use this Gambit and its the first time I encounter it , from there it looks like every move I made was wrong and my father is laughing up to the end of the game. he beat me so badly...
Promised myself that it will become one of my repertoire and use it on unsuspecting victims.I am still trying to find many great Marshall gambit games and hope to share it...
