I saw a cute guy waiting at a phone booth and smiled at him. Apparently when I smiled he thought I was so beautiful he forgot who he was going to call. He came up to me and, looking all nervous and scared, asked me if I’d call him if he gave me his number. I thought he was cute, said yes and took his number. I called him when I got home. We’re married now, two and a half years later.

I met my hubby through my best friend from high school. I was exchange student and my best friend invited me to her house for xmas and she was dating someone and my hubby was my bestfriend's boyfriend's best friend. I met him in 1998 but didnt keep in touch for while until 2001 xmas time. He called me out of no where and we just got along so well! so we got married in December 2002.

Hubby was a probation officer for one of the kids I used to counsel (I was a counselor). We exchanged e-mails and used to talk about work stuff. We ended up talking more personally for over a year and then finally we said one day, "Hey why don't we go out for a drink?" We have been together ever since!

My fiance and I have been friends for over 20 years. We went to High School together, had mutual friends, and oddly enough, he was at my wedding (over 17 years ago!).... He's the love of my life. Just wish I had known it 17+ years ago..

Great topic! I met my hubby on Match.com in 2001. He proposed to me almost a year later at the very place we decided to meet. I finally met my prince charming! ...And believe me...I was due for a good one!

OMG that's amazing!! Now I can say that I've heard of a real couple that met through Match.com. I mean you hear the commercials, but it's not the same. I'm so glad you're happy!! : )

That's really cool!! I met my hubby online. We both had webtv and we ended up in a basic chatroom, talked and realized that of all the people, all over the world in THAT room, we lived less than 10 mintues from one another. Crazy, but true and it's worked. We just celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary and 6 total years together.

I met my husband on a singles site on Feb 2, 2005. We then talked on the phone for a couple days then met in person Feb 6, 2005. On April 1st we moved in together and got married April 22, 2005. We both knew what we were looking for and when we met we both knew we had found it.

Have you ever heard the expression "if you stop looking for something, you will surely find it"? Thats pretty much how I met my spouse.
I had been single for almost 2yrs, I was visiting a friend where I live now. We had plans to drive to a larger college town nearby to do some partying one weekend. A mutual friend of the both of us pops up and is in tears, her job downsized, shes thinking of moving, and she wants us to go with her instead. Shes not one to go out of town to do something new, she likes the same old hole in the wall up on Main street. haha I didnt mind, I just wanted to get out and get some drinks in me! So we headed up to the local and met some other girls as well. Nearing the end of the night, a whole group of guys walked in. My now hubby was the 3rd guy to fall through the door, and I instantly knew in my heart that I was going to meet him. Now mind you, I was not looking for a relationship, nor a one night stand!, but there was something about him that I liked and hadnt even met him yet. (Later on he would tell me the same thing, not knowing that I felt that way) My friends keep telling me "that guys checking you out!" Im like really, good I was checking him out too. We smiled and said hello, but it wasnt until we were getting ready to leave that he followed me outside and asked for my name and possibly my phone number. He was so soft spoken and shy I couldnt resist! 3 weeks later we were inseperateable! He wasnt even living here, he was just here for the summer horse races, and was leaving that Sept. Well, here we are! Still here, still deeply in love like when we first met. I feel blessed and very lucky, and I thank my friend for interfering with our plans, if it was not for her not wanting to go elsewhere, I would have never met him!
