Are you related to someone famous?
I have a distant cousin who was popular here in the Philippines during the early 90s. He is Paco Arespacochaga of the OPM Band, Introvoys. I forgot which instrument he played for Introvoys, but he composed some of their songs, the most popular of which was Line to Heaven.
He got married (I'm not sure if they were married) to a Filipina celebrity, Geneva Cruz, to whom he had a son, and they named him Heaven.. But I think he left them a few months after, and he is now in the U.S.
That time when he was still popular, I was also quite popular at school when they found out he was my cousin. They'd ask me for autographs from him and stuff like that..

yep. i remember Paco Arespacochaga. is the band named introvoys? i can't remember. but all i know is he does the vocals. and he has really a great voice! they have lots of great songs which made them famous during those times.
i don't really have famous relatives in the showbiz industry. but my dad's first degree cousin is Epimaco Velasco. yep. he's like my second degree uncle. there are times when my friends are scared to hurt me because they thought that i will tell my uncle epimaco about them. hehe. but actually, i haven't met him in person yet.

My father was always telling us that we were related to two former U.S. Presidents. Other relatives confirmed it when I asked if it was true. One was Ulysses S. Grant and the other was Richard M. Nixon. Those are the only famous relatives I have, as far as I know.

Accordngly, Nick Joaquin is our very distant relative. We didn't know each other and also our families but our family name is the same and accordingly, there are only few people of such family name and they came from the same ancestors.

The most famous relative I have is a marine biologist (uncle) in Mexico (I'm mexican), and the director of the health department also in Mexico. Both in the caribbean and they're first degree cousins between them, and second uncles for me.
In showbiz... no one that I know of. Oh yeah! my mom told me I had a cousin who was miss Mexico like 10+ years ago
