Broadband internet connection runs a lot faster than any dial-up connections. There are two kinds of broadband internet, one is the Cable internet that runs through your cable wirings and the other one is DSL internet that runs through your telephone line. If you are using broadband internet connection, which between the two are you currently using and why? :)

I am on broadband connection myself. Yes, the cable type. It's the fastest in Singapore - compared to DSL and the price is also the most attractive. I have to banish the illusion that it is cheap though - it certainly is not. :P

What is rampant here in the Philippines is the wireless connection and the DSL connection. How does Cable become faster than the DSL? Do you know? :)

I've had DSL and I've had cable. Cable seems to be faster, but going wireless is the best you can get. Of course, if you only have one computer you really don't need that.

Does that mean that cable internet is useful if you have, let's say, two or three computers at home? :)

I use DSL and my provider has three different "speeds" that you can subscribe to. I subscribe to the lowest speed, but I live near two central offices, so my speed is at the top end of the slowest service and the bottom end of the medium-speed service. I would get cable, but I don't really like my cable company right now.

I started off using dial-up for my internet connection, but in 2004 after I got my first laptop I switched to cable, because it was faster, and it seemed to work better with the computer I was using, than dial-up. I'm never switching back!

We have DSL.I think DSL is faster to me.Cable internet is what my husbands sister has and she said it is pretty fast but not cheap.I like the DSL better than the dial up slows stuff we had before we got DSL.I like that I dont have to wait forever for the pages to load.

I use cable internet. When I was first shopping around I looked into DSL but you must have a live phone line, which I do not have. Thus we went with cable.

I'm using DSL broadband internet at home and a wireless DSL broadband at my aunt's place. I'm not really familiar how the cable internet do but I'm really satisfied with my DSL speed. It's quite fast for me even if it's not the fastest among the broadband rates offered.

I don't know exactly if WI-FI or Wireless Fidelity is the same with Cable internet connection because our internet runs through the wirings. It doesn't run through our phone, so it's not DSL connection. We're currently using Smart Telecommunication's Smart Bro internet.
