The departed

I did not see this movie. It must not have had intriguing previews because I don't even remember thinking it looked like it was worth watching. Sometimes the movies that win those awards are just stinkers. It makes you wonder if monkeys are doing the voting.

actually I watched this movie at the cinema and I was very well surprised by this film..I don't like either Di Caprio or Matt Demon very much but I think that in this film they did a great job...moreover I simply loved this film because it had a very good rhythm, there was always something new happening and i could not imagine how it was ending...before it ended...I think Scorsese made one of his masterpiece and therefore I am very happy about the success this film had....Jack Nicholson was superb, but this is not a surprise..since Shining i find him very convincing when acting like a cruel and crazy man...maybe he is a little crazy himself!!!

I've heard a lot of good write ups and recommendations about this film, I can't believe I never got round to see it, seeing as it stars one of my favourite actors, Leonardo Di Caprio, I will definitely wait till it is on Sky now, but any film with Leo in is is worth watching in my book

I did not like the Movie much either I could actually not watch it to the end. So I don't know why it won the Oscar to be honest

This movie was recommended to me so I bought it but I haven't gotten around to watching it yet. I have read the reviews and I think it is worth watching even though some of the reviews criticised the mismatched shots and the jagged continuity in it but there is still lots of surprises and twists in it. It is definitely a must for me to watch even though I am not over fond of Leonardo DiCaprio.

From the background music by the Rolling Stones called "Gimme Shelter" in the opening credits, 'til the end... The movie was just great! Unpredictably great!

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and saw it twice too! I somehow liked the story, felt it was intriguing and also exciting, I'm really not bothered which movie wins at the Oscars because almost everytime it is some undeserving one.

I have not watched it yet and I am not sure what it is even about. I have heard of the movie, but not what it is was about.

I watched it but I must confess I didn't really like it. Maybe I just don't like such genre of film. The actors were not too impressive too. I know many like the film but I wasn't one of them. :P

Yes I agree with you.I only watched the clippings of this movie and it doesn't seems to be interesting to watch.Maybe the Oscar award committee have seen something better and valuable for them to made "The Departed" an award winning movie.

the oscar is only base on the performance of the film and the director and actors though its important to story but the other sides of the stories are rocking many of people likes that film!i feel its the best of everything!
