When I was thirteen I would get this guy to do my math homework for me because I really could not understand it. I failed the class miserably that year and I learned my lesson.
In university a friend of mine asked me to help him with his research paper, and some how or other I ended up writing it for him, though I never intended to.
In university I was an invigilator for exams, I watched that nobody cheated. Some of my fellow classmates wanted to know how I could rat on them like that, but I said how would you like to go to the doctor for an operation and find out that this person cheated on his exams?
Please tell me your experiences.

Once or twice when it came to classwork I didn't understand. Teachers usually don't care when the answer comes from as long as you did it.
But I would NEVER cheat on an exam. That would get me in major trouble.

OH yeah, I used to. It's because everybody else was doing it. I know it's not an excuse and I thought it was only normal until I've seen a lot of people feel otherwise..but there's still a question bugging me. If you let someone copy off you, are you cheating as well? I mean, I'm a little bit above average and my classmates would always ask me the answer to this or that or copy my homework but I never had the heart to say no coz they would say that I'm being selfish.

Do you really want to know my experiences on the topic you have post? Well cheating on exam is really a bad thing to do but for me I think its normal in school especially during exams but also you should be careful so that you will not be caught by your teacher. Maybe I sounds that I am tolerating on this kind of things but honestly speaking I myself also cheated on exams with my friends and classmates. Before exams starts all of us plan a terrific strategy in order not to be caught we all arrange our seats, sometimes we compress our chairs especially if their is a substitute teacher. Or sometimes if its very difficult for us we make signs in order to know the answer in every question. Luckily, I had no experience being caught.
When it comes to school work I never let someone else do my homework maybe if projects are considered to be one of those I should say projects like cross stitch or mostly when doing projects about knitting things. During my grade school days I always call my auntie to ask for help and make me one because she is very talented and when it comes to knitting I don't have any talent.
Again luckily, my teachers never notice that the projects I always submit it is really not me who worked hard to be able to finish it on time but my auntie. Honestly there was no time that I had been questioned about that.:)
So what can you say? Am I lucky when it comes to doing naughty things?...joke

I was actually the one people cheated off of in highschool. I didn't like it, but they were the popular kids, and i didn't want to look like a reject, so i let them! I should've known it wouldn't have changed a thing...they still saw me as the nerd!

I tried once at high school. But it was not successful. Once upon a Monday, I prepared some tiny notes containing answers for the exam next day and hide them in my coat's sleeves. But my mother took the coat to the laundry and gave me another one to put on the next day. Consequently, I had go through the exam without the secret notes. Fortunately, as I was preparing the notes, I some how got the answers into my head. That's how I finally passed my exam. After that, I never try to cheat on exam again.

I'd have to say that I was more likely to be the one OTHER people cheated from. Whenever I was sitting for exams, or there were class projects due, I always seemed to get a bunch of "new friends," come crawling out of the woodwork.
The closest I came to "cheating" was during college, when I "bought" (to get the research references) and basically rewrote a term paper on Social Security because I had a really heavy class schedule AND some athletic commitments and simply ran out of time. Yeah, it was cheating, and I only did it once... but the final product I handed in was barely recognizeable as being someone else's work.

When I was in grade school and high school, we had home economics classes which would sometimes involve sewing and some other handicrafts like weaving, crocheting, knitting, etc.. I was not really good at these things thats why some of my projects before that I was able to take home were finished by my mum.. and I got really good grades for them..

yup ha ha! i was a high school then. at first i was very mad at my newly found bunch of classmates because they are cheating on our test paper. the whole class is doing it. the motto is: all for one, one for all! this is kinda bad when it comes to exams he he but eventually, i learned to learn what they are doing and i adapt to it easily. so much for the bad thing that in my 3rd year high school, in our statistics subject, i got caught by our teacher spreading the "good news" or the answer ha ha! and so i am the biggest loser that time for i was deducted 30 points in our exam! so sad for that one! but that did not really teach me the lesson not to cheat again for in my fourth year days, i was also, again spreading the news.
in my first year college life, i haven't really had that same experience for college was different from high school. in college, i am not spreading the news but rather waiting for the news ha ha! it is kinda difficult in college. i need to adjust. XP

I have never cheated on a exam or had anyone else do my school work for me. Not because I am a goody two shoes but simply because I knew if mom or dad found out the consequences would be very heavy. My parents gave us heavy punishment just for taking a pencil and that was done by accident. I learned my lesson very well just from that one incident. I didn't want to find out what would happen if I cheated on a exam or someelse did my school work. That is not to say that the temptation did not cross my mind though.

I haven't ever cheated...Actually it never occurred to me up through hs and was probably too scared to in college...Then the upper studies I really needed the knowledge more then the diplomas which I got but valued less.I have loved to learn so Maybe that's why.I would help someone but not do it for them.It just isn't something I ever wanted to do.

I have never had anyone help me cheat as I have always done very well in school. However, in highschool I had a friend that (honestly) wasn't smart. he was my best friend but couldn't read or write, he was great at doing things like fixing cars or eletrical work but there was no way that he was going to pass his classes. I don't even know how he was able to get as far as highschool. But anyways, I decided I would do all of his work for him. He passed his highschool with flying colours. Now he is 26 years old, and can't read nor write more than a few simple sentences.
He has recently decided to move to the USA to be with his girlfriend and I am very happy for him. However, he is failing his entry tests because of his illiteracy.
To think back on it now, I should have offered to help me learn rather than just complete his work for him. I can't help but feel responsible for his issues now in life.
