Why can't countries just get along?

Don't we all want peace? - Wouldn't it be nice if we could lay down our arms and try to solve our problems in a non-violent way?

You are right: wars are all over...But I still wonder why people can't see how many innocent souls are killed in their desputes...+

There are too many of us to get along. Human population is surging across the globe, and none of us can find a place away from it anymore. It's a sad sad thing. There has not been peace among everyone in recorded history, and probably never will be. Humans want to lead, to conquer, sometimes plain destory that which they don't like - although it doesn't apply to everyone, you only need a few to make war, and once it's happening everyone is caught up in it.

So you are saying it's our nature to want to destroy and conquer? I thought we were given the desire to create and build up..Is it that we listen to our negative tendencies more then our positive ones?+

Guess there are too much benefit to give up. If you check the popular places of wars, you will find they are all important ones, in terms of a contry or regional benefit. If Iraq or Iran never could produce oil, will anybody go fight there? It is obvious. On the other hand, whenever we talk about a poor African region where nothing precious is created, we will think more of the charity and help to them, instead of have some war there.

You certainly have a point there..a very good point..Too much at risk to not fight and not enough value in the case of Africa..Seems sad doesn't it..It's a great imbalance;)+
