Nikki and Paulo

Good, bad, ugly or indifferent. Is it just me or did the episode with Nikki and Paulo in it in bite? Come in now did we really need to go over old scenes, insert them into it only to find out the are grave diggers who in the end got buried alive? Interesting ending I suppose but come on now. It was nice to see Boone and Shannon again. And Mr. Artz. Odd that he was buddy with Nikki. He was prpbably staring at her boobs the whole time...lol Nikki was more annoying than Shannon. Although in the end Shannon did grow on me. Anyone else agree? Sayid was good for her. I guess I'm indifferent right now. I, along with many others I assume wanted them gone. We got our wish. I wonder if the producers listened to us or it was planned all the while. mrsozzei

whoa.. Pualo and Nikki's episode was great.. although nothing new happened.. i'll still rate it a perfect 10.. it's good to see Boone and Shannon again. They went back to the past scenes and the story really fits.. I'm wonderin' what's gonna happen next.. will they really die in there.. I mean it's sad that they'll die on their first flashback episode..

Dont you just find Rodrigo Santoro (Paulo) cute?? Who would think he's King Xerxes in 300. I had to do a good research on that one.

If those two don't rise from their graves then this week's episode was a total waste of time. They didn't add anything to the storyline. They must be coming up out of their graves because I see no reason for that episode at all.

I agree. I want to see one of them reach out and grab an ankle or something. Somehow I doubt it though. Seems pointless though to have brought them on only to kill them off. Crazy. Often wonder what goes on in those writers heads when they think of this stuff. Thanks for the post.

I've often wondered whether producers listen to readers who write emails complaining, or whether this episode was put in because of the other castaways we did not know about. In a way, this episode reminded me of the story told about that unsuccessful prince in the Princess Bride, the one who did not kiss the princess, who was not the successful hero. Both Nikki and Paolo saw the plane, and neither of them did not go up to it. Both Nikki and Paolo opened the tunnel and did not go down in it. Both Nikki and Paolo saw the Others but did not do anything about that, either. In a way, it was sort of humorous - the Nikki and Paolo who did not move the plot along but just got stung by some spiders and were buried alive.

I thought the episode was really bad. I was beginning to wonder why you would introduce two new characters and then never really feature them in an episode. I was finally glad that they did a backstory on them. Then to possibly kill them off on the same episode really ticks me off. I continue to watch the show week after week but I keep getting more and more frustrated as the season goes on. I really think they need to tie up some old storylines that they have just pretty much abandonned. I wouldn't mind if they showed more of Rose and Bernard too. I really like both characters.

I read that the actors weren't very happy with their characters, neither the producers. That's why they decided to kill Nikki and Paulo. I didn't like them a lot but I felt to sorry for them because they were buried alive! It's just insane in my opinion. It was so good to see Boone again *-* He's hot! And in the end I started to like Shannon too.

I didn't see the point of this whole episode. I mean, they weren't even likable characters, even. And, they buried the diamonds with them! I hated when they buried them alive. I don't know why they did this episode, but they'd better tell us or make sense of it later on.

I thought it really stunk also-- I was hoping for more on Locke's "dad"-- or what happened with Jack, Kate, and Locke- I think the only way that this episode makes sense is if somehow Niki and Paulo come out of the grave- Otherwise it was a waste. It didn't even catch my interest this week- and I love Lost.
