He cannot die. No way. Why kill off the one character that actually brought on so many viewers. Remember the first promos featuring Dom...guys where are we? I think a lot of us LOTR freaks started watching simply to watch Dom. So what do you think Charlie's chances of surviving this season? Me....none. My scruffy hobbit will die this season and I will be forever crushed. mrsozzei

I;m sure I read ages ago that his character was supposed to die in the first season but they decided to keep him because he brought in so many viewers. I don't think they will kill him, they've already had Mr Eko die this season so surely they can't kill off another main character? Well I surely hope so! Plus I think it would be a bit disappointing if there was no point to Desmond's visions if he can't at least stop what's supposed to happen...and maybe he keeps having the one's about Charlie because he's not really supposed to die? I dont know, it can do your head in trying to think of why things happen on Lost! lol

Never thought of the Desmond point of view. Mabye now the Des has no purpose in life (pushing the button) maybe his purpose to to save Charlie so that he can be there for Claire and Aaron thus making Charlie's like whole again. Good point. Thanks for the post.
