hoax

what do you think of the claims that global warming is a hoax? in the movie 'an inconvenient truth' it was stated that a political agenda exists to undermine the scientific findings that there is global warming to create doubt among individuals. this is to protect oil companies and such.

I believe that global warming is very real and that if we don't take steps to protect our environment, we will suffer the consequences. I do think that credible scientists agree that global warming is real, and that some people try to muddy the waters and say it's not real to advance their own interests (for example oil companies, as you mentioned). In the end though, we will all suffer if we ignore the reality in front of us.
On a more positive note, I do believe that we have the capability to turn things around, but we need act quickly.

I don't think that global warming is a hoax. I used to live in a small town near the mountains when I was a kid. We used to have snow during the winter for at least a month. The rivers were always full of water even during the summer time. For some years now, the rivers are dry during the summer and there is not anymore snow during the winter in the town except on the mountains. Sure the climate is changing and there is a lot of evidence everywhere.
