Busy Weekend

Sounds like you and I are on the same track! I just had the house power washed about 3 weeks ago, and am now restaining the back deck and porch while they are "clean". I will have to repaint some of the trim that peeled off during the power wash. Since we got a pretty good tax refund, I just replaced our sliding glass doors with French doors with blinds inside the windows, so I don't have to clean them. We just got the riding mower repaired, getting ready for the grass growing season...it never ends when you own a house, does it?

Well, you have a busy weekend with lots of useful projects. Good that you have your daughter & fianca to help. My weekend will be just as busy, & I doubt whether I can do any My Lot. Saturday: Bianca's birthday party. I have to ice & decorate the b'd cake, make a fruit platter, do the washing, etc. Then I take three of the party girls iceskating (3hrs). After that, I prepare the pizzas and other food. One girl stays all night. Sunday:d leaves, we have to leave to go my brother inlaws place for a bbq, supposedly for my husbands birthday. This is a two hour round trip. When I get home I better iron some clothes for hubby & daughter.

It seems you will have a very busy weekend, grandpa. I was thinking how on earth can one accomplished in a day. Just go ahead and do your stuff. I'll make sure to post about a hundred discussions during weekend so you can start sweating out by the time you logged in here. "grin"

When your done, want to come here and install 2 screen doors? lol j/k Grandpa Bob. It's going to be busy here as well. Hoping to get the culvert at end of drive blocked up at both ends so no more gravel from drive washes into the ditch. HAVE to get my garden done and ready for planting. It's on a slope so we have to build up 3 of the sides with railroad ties and stake them in place, then spread the mound of soil that's in it left over from the pool last summer. After those 2 chores, not sure what else we will get done. Don't wear yourself out too much, Grandpa Bob. We don't want you getting sick on us now. lol

It seems that you always have a plan for coming days. So good to manage personal affairs as well as family commitments too. Well, you have to do lot of work and I would like to extend my best wishes and good luck for your upcoming tasks. Have a nice weekend ;) No more comments to disturb you. Hahaha

Wow! So much for spending the weekend to relax huh? LOL! The only thing that is worse then a busy weekend is one that cost alot. Friday night, we went camping. That should've been fun. But it stormed really bad all night long. So instead of fishing in the creek, we had to stay in the tent most of the night. But then Saturday, we stayed later then we had planned & fished most of the day. Came back home & went mushroom hunting. (Bet you have no idea what that is) Then my sister & her boyfriend came over to eat super. As i was in the middle of cookin, in came 12 more friends. I told them that I didnt have enough food to feed them all so we decided to go to McDonalds to eat. Now tommorow, I will be planting some plants. Yeah, my mom is so excited that I planted the rose that she got me she went out & bought me alot of plants. Now I have to find some were to plant them. And of course, tommorow night I have to clean my house. Ugg, I dread it. My weekend was suppose to be lots of fun but instead, it turned out kind of dull.

Wow!! Sure sounds like you have your work cut out for you. I don't have much on the go, this weekend, but I'm going to try and make some money by writing. I filed my tax refund papers today (that is to say I signed them and faxed them back to my accountant, I already know what I'm getting) and that's about it. Now just to sit and write all weekend. ;-)

well, good luck with your projects. i hope the weather is nice for you. I've got kind of a busy weekend too. We are doing our Easter get together with my boyfriends family on Saturday. His dad is having major surgery the following Thursday so I'm sure we will be spending easter at the hospital. Then on Sunday, my boyfriend will be finishing ripping out a closet and making a entertainment shelf as we are getting a much bigger tv and needed the extra room. I don't have to do anything but listen to him complain and that right there is a lot of work.lol.

Wow Grandpa that sure is a lot of work and I must say you are gonna have one heck of a productive weekend..hehe! I'm glad you have all this lined up for yourself..me on the other hand had shopping plans but its pouring cats and dogs now, hopefully the rain will be over tomorrow morning. As you know I'm travelling in two weeks so have to shop and also start packing.

Hey Grandpa Bob, when you have a few spare minutes this weekend, you want to come to my place and do the same. It sounds like you will really be enjoying your weekend with nothing to do (I am only kidding)! Don't spend all of your time away from us over hear in internet land.

Hi, grandpa. So you are going to be busy this weekend, right? Sounds you are a little worried about it. But if I were you, I will enjoy it. It will make your house and garden more beautiful, won't it? I am looking forward to the day I have my own house or at least apartment and I will do anything happily to make it brilliant. It is our home.

WOW Grandpa Bob, that's a lot of work. Hope you will finish it at time. As you have your daughter and her fiancee to help, so no much worry. I will also be busy out side Mylot. Not with household work, but will be busy going to outside fun activity. One of our friend giving a party in a lake side park, to celebrate his son's birthday. So, we will be there. its interesting to hear how your life is mine is soooooooooooo different maybe in 20 years I will be concerned with such same things as you I hope my life is kinda like that then

i hear you.i need to repair my front porch this year too.all new treated wood,i think. and maybe some cement stairs. you just reminded me-i need to do my raspberries too LOL thanks grandpa bob:)
