This may be a interesting survey. Post here the longest time for which you slept continuously. I have once slept for 19 hours in succession without a break.

Hey! we are talking about a nap without a break. If you count the naps where you wake up and have your food, then may be i have slept for weeks.

You may be suffering with narcolepsy. The main characteristic of narcolepsy is overwhelming excessive daytime sleepiness(EDS) even after adequate night time sleep. A person with narcolepsy is likely to become drowsy or fall asleep, often at inappropriate time and places. Daytime naps may occur with or without warning and they are irresistible. These naps can occur several times a day. They are typically refreshing but only for a few hours. Drowsiness may persist for prolonged periods of time. Did i worry you a little too much? May be not, because you don't hibernate for months at a stretch, or do you?

I think the longest was when I was in a car accident I slept in the hospital from the afternoon on Sunday until 7:30 Monday morning. But I don't think that would count as wanting to sleep.
