going for one week vacation - any suggestions?

my husband is back after 3 months of work and we are planning to go for a week long vacation. just confused where to go. do you know any place that is beautiful and worth visiting.
please suggest with slight details regarding location. scenery and transport availability

I've lived in both Alaska and Hawai'i, two very beautiful places. Hawai'i is the only one worth going to for a week, as Alaska is too big to explore even part of in that time.
It really depends on what you're into and how active you want to be.
If you feel like completely relaxing, look on the internet for resorts in tropical destinations. There are also many B&B's that are tucked away in mountains, which can be lovely this time of year. Perhaps you can go fishing! The Rockies are always gorgeous...check out Colorado for Inns and whatnot...something quiet, private, out of the way.
If you feel like seeing and doing, maybe hit a big city, such as New York. There are so many things to see and do at all different hours. Las Vegas is another.

well it depends onm what motive you like. if you feel life romantic place. with fine ambiance i much prefer a island resort.
