I think 3 is an ideal no..But considering the fast rate of increse in population,we all should be reduce it in to 2 or even 1.If 3,noone feels lonley at home...No single child syndrome and all...

There's no 'best' number of children one should have in their family, it's all about personal preference, and circumstances.
My aunt and uncle had 11, and they were perfectly happy and content with that.
My parents had just my sister and myself, and they were perfectly happy with that.
There's no such thing as a perfect family, and things work differently for each family, for each couple.

It's fun to have a huge family, but then it depends on your financial status of course. I think for me it doesn't matter how many.. although, I prefer two ;) as long as your family is happy. I want to have twins since I have a twin sister. But I think it's impossible for me to have twins because usually twins are from the third generation of the family.

Personally I would also like only two children to raise. But if I have a very loving and responsible husband, my mind could be swayed depending on what both of us would decide on. There are lots to consider when planning on how many children a couple should have like income, housing (if it's owned or being rented, the size), family history of health conditions, the time available after work...the works!

I think there's no "best number". It all boils down to proper family management and responsible parenthood. If the parents can only afford education, food and all that for only one child, then that's the best number for that family. All members of a family should always lead quality lives so the best number of children would also mean that these children are recipients of sufficient things for them to reach their potential.

However many you want, and can take care of. That's what I beleive. For some families, this could be ten or more! and sadly for others, it could be none at all. I think the important thing is not to have so many children that the quality ofyor parenting is sacrificed because you can't take care of them all.
