Any Newbie eBayer's Here?

I'm a new eBay seller. I am trying to just make a few bucks here and there. Between reviewstream.com, (check it out) and myLot, which is really not much because I can't spend hours at it, and eBay, and my greeting card business, www.creatorstouchcards.com, I hope to make some money. Funny thing is, I'm working WAY harder at all these little nickel and dime and dollar things than if I got a job away from home.
Back to the eBay. If you are new to eBay, tell me so we can be newbies together! I'v been selling books. One thing I have noticed is, the Non-fiction books are going fast, the fiction, novels, paperbacks are not even being looked at. So, I'm learning. People don't go to eBay for pleasure reading materials, but they do go to eBay for self-help, bible study, instructional type books. Good thing to know huh?

I've been trying to sell on ebay, but can't seem to come up with a product that is in demand. It seems like Webkinz have the corner these days. Question, where can you get them cheap enough to make a profit on resale? I know someone who sells them on ebay and orders them from Canada for $10 each, but of course they won't reveal their source... some friend LOL.
