Are you obsessed with the number 23?

When the new Jim Carey film came out I saw him in an interview where he said people really are obsessed with this number, one of his closest friends has this obsession.
For example, the letter w is the 23rd letter in the alphabet and on the keyboard it is placed below the numbers 2 and 3.
It takes 23 seconds for blood to circulate through the human body.
Clinton Bill, Clinton's numerical initials are B=2 C=3.
Clinton,The number of letters in William Jefferson Clinton is 23.
Clinton William, W being the 23rd letter of the alphabet.
Ceasar was stabbed 23 times when he was assassinated.
There are 23 pairs of human chromosomes.
In World War I there were 23 countries allied against Germany, Austria-Hungary, Turkey and Bulgaria

I guess it probably is. I have never heard of 17 being thought of as unlucky, I wonder why it is in Italy?

I think there's no unlucky number, that's all a myth only, and coincident. The numbers are not guilty u know and it not make sense for a number to give luck or bad luck to peoples ;)

That is some very intersting information that you have posted there. I was born on the 23rd of June and i have always appreciated the number 23 because of that. I make a wish every time I see the number 23 displayed on a clock. I also make sure that I pick the number 23 if I ever play any time of lottery games. I guess you could say I am a little bit obsessed with the number 23. I never knew about all of the information you just showed us until now. I think that is truly awesome and amazing.

My husband looks for this number alot. He does add or subtract things to find it, he actually thinks it is a lucky number. His birthday and our sons is on the 23rd and it was on our licience plate. When every he sees it he thinks he has to play the lotto.

Nope!!! :D I just obsessed with no 7 and no 2.
No 7 becoz, earth got 7 layers and sky got 7 too,
there are 7 days in a week,
7 heaven name and 7 hell name,
and many more ....
While no 2 becoz, all creatures that God creates have their own couple ;) So the creatures are all in pairs .......

A lot of people are very into numbers and after I heard of the obseesion surrounding this number I wondered if anyone here had the obsession.

I is definitely a strange thing to be obsessed with a number but it is like 13, some people will not have anything to do with this number and I have heard of hotels who never have a room 13.

even the tennis star justin henin-hardinene's favourite number is 23. she won her 23rd title at the age of 23 for fighting for 1 hr and 23 mts....

Funny enough I noticed the other day that David Bekham played number 23 when he signed up for Madrid. I've an awful feeling I am going to see the number everywhere now.

Hi,
I missed this thread the other day but better late than never. It was really interesting learning about the number 23 but I expect other numbers have significance if played around with. Personally, I used to have a fascination with the number 17 - for no particular reason that I can remember. Now I like number 27 as that is our house number. Number 42 is also special as it is 'the answer to Life, the Universe and everything'. Do you know where from?

That is lovely and romantic to remember. I had never come across this number 23 thing untill I saw the interview but am amazed at how people believe that this number is significant.
