I am curious about what you as a voter looks for when voting for a new president. Are you concerned about a certain issue? Our you more focused on domestic affairs or foreign?
How much does their personality weigh compared to their record in politics?
Do you vote along party lines or do you vote by the candidate?

right now that is an important question. We need to trust the word of the new president. That is getting harder every day. We need a president that is respected all over the world. That is getting harder every day. We need a president that has indept knowledge of business, healthcare, and world affairs

Good points. Respect of not only the people of the United States but also the world. Been a while since we have had that.
Thanks for the reply.

First and foremost I look for integrity. My candidate for President must be of the highest morals and be willing to stick by his decisions. If he makes a mistake, apologize and fix it and all is well
On the issues, my candidate must line up with the majority of my views. My biggest issue has been and will be for a while, Illegal immigration. Curbing this problem will be the first step in a truly protected nation. I also take into account their history. How many votes they missed in Congress, any record as Governor of their state.
I tend to vote Republican, but would be willing to vote on the other side if that candidate is more conservative than the Republican candidate.
