Who's your favorite bossa nova singer?

The love for bossa nova is spreading like wild fire in the Philippines. There are a couple of singers like Sitti, Sofia, Raffi in the industry. Who's your fave? My personal fave is Sitti. Aside from the fact that she's very talented and that she started this all, she's very very kind and humble. :)

Sitti is a pretty singer but ASTRUD GILBERTO & CARLOS JOBIM will always be my favorite. :)

Sitti is still the best. I've heard sofia's version of waters of march, but sitti still has the better version. I hope she will do more remakes from the classics.

thanks powchee! :) she's really intelligent. she was the valedictorian in high school. amazing right? i also agree that the risk to sing bossa was a daring one and i'm glad that it paid off :) Kudos to Sitti!

I love sitti... she's good and got a lovely voice. My bf is an acoustic guitarist and he knows all the songs of sitti. I saw her last week in Podium, aside from having a lovely voice she's also pretty in person. Id like to watch her gig if i have time...

my favorite bossa nova singer? its sitti.. philipine's finest bossa nova singer.. very talented.. is karen carpenter a bossa nova singer too? i also like her, i was influenced by my mom.. ^_^

Yes, Sitti's very nice. I like her because of her innovativeness and the guts to be the first at it--especially in our very traditional music industry, in the sense that you won't be famous unless you sing love songs or novelty songs.
