I have only received best response a couple of times since I joined 4 or 5 days ago but I have thanked the people that gave it to me. I think it is the polite thing to do.
I have also thanked the people that have asked me to be their friend since the ones that have done it so far have based it on our discussions, not on trying to sign me up to some money making venture.
Manners are important to me and I think when someone does you a kindness that it behooves you to thank them.

I sometimes go to PM the person and say thank you but mostly I go to the response and leave a message saying thank you , I would never just leave it , I am really pleased when I get one , Quite makes my day , I think it is lovely thet someone has taken the time to actually read the responses and rate them , xx

Being new here I don't have heaps of them ... and did wonder if I should say something like a comment of 'thank you' but hadn't done anything. Then I saw a discussion started by one of my friends ... some of her best responses she had given became unresolved. She then had to give them to someone again ... but didn't know who to give it to and went back through looking to see who she gave it to the first time.
So I spoke to her about it .... she said she now puts down a comment who she gives a best response to ... and she makes a 'thank you' comment to anyone who gives her a best response. I am going to follow what she does ... so if any of mine get unresolved then I should be able to find out who I have it to first time .... without having to go back through all the responses again. I am also making a 'thank you' comment to anyone who gives me a best response.
Not sure what mylot will think .... but it is manners to say 'thank you' to people who do something for you but why should anyone have to go back and make a decision all over again ... because mylot have some sort of problem with the sysem.

I know I should do as people are kind enough to vote my response as the best one, but I never know if it's acceptable in the rules to go back and thank the person in the discussion. But I'm always grateful goes without saying, I know some people would prefer a 'personal thank you'. On the other side I don't expect everyone to thank me when I have awarded them with a best response.

I have replied and thanked everyone whoever has marked my response as a best one.
I always write my response with an intention of getting it selected as the best response.
Few users do not go back to their discussions they start and never care to resolve the discussions and is frustrating thing.
Everyone should atleast attend the discussion started and try to add few comments whenever they are expected by the responding user I think.
I get a pleasure when my response gets "the best mark".
All the best from oarnamav.

well i do try to thank each person that gave my a best response but i have to admit to i usually check it about once a month so it does take some time till i thank the person and i hope that no one is offended here because of it. they can make sure i appreciate their best response very well.

As much as possible, I do try to check my best responses and drop the discussion starter a line or two expressing thanks for choosing mine as the best response. But I admit there are times that I find it hard to go back and thank them especially when am running out of time and so caught up with my discussions or friends' discussions.

Yes, I always say thank you to the one who posted the discussion and who awarded the best response to me. Its a show of appreciation to what they give.
It makes me feel elated when I get best response to my discussion. So, from time to time I go back to the responses that I made to see whether a comment was written on my response. This would check too if i get a best response and its time to say thank you to the poster.

I ahve always done so...because that should be a common courtesy to people who have read our responses & have flagged it as the one that influenced them the most. I have always replied to my responders & have thanked the people who flagged my reply as the best answer..

I generally do, though I don't look at the best responses very often, so it might be some time before it happens.

I don't think I've went back except for once or twice and said thanks but if I get best response, I will keep up with their page though and thank them by responding to alot of their posts. That's my way of thanking them I guess. I think we should keep up with our friends anyways on our friends list, that's what they're there for to help us out and we help them out in return.

Hi! I always make it a point to check my "best responses" first because I always try my best to respond to most of the discussions, and I would like to know if I was able to satisfy the discussant. This is also my way of choosing my friends in the list, because we share the same interests, or at least acknowledge my point of view. This is how I have fun here at myLot. Therefore, I would always thank the poster who has chosen me as the "best response" to show my appreciation. Happy myLotting!

I do try to, it not only shows appreciation, but it also helps the person who gave it to you...because you are bringing their old discussion back up for a revival plus it IS another reply on their thread. Since it is against mylot guidelines to just write thank you, Lately I've been trying to add a little more than just the thanks.
