Thank God I'm alive---from the burns???

Before I went to sleep this afternoon, I put my electric-wired hot compress at my back. I'm currently diagnosed with Fibromyositis/Fibromyalgia, that's why I need to keep my back some hot compress to ease the pain. Since it's an electric-wired compress, it's not advisable that you get to sleep while laying on it because the heat might cause burns on your skin. In fact, it can lead to a 3rd-degree burn or even more.
And so I put on the heat to its highest temperature and when it gets that hot already, I switched it off or put it in the low temperature area.
And now, I haven't noticed that I have slept. When I woke up and the realized that I'm still lying down on the hot compress, I started to yell! Well, I was just surprised that it's being switched off. Fortunately, my sister told me she noticed me being asleep already and so she switched it off.
Whew! Thanks a lot sis! I

Thank God your sister was there to save you! I'm glad you are ok and still alive. That is just too scary. Please be careful hon....I do not want to lose you my dear friend. Here in the USA they have these compresses that go on your back for up to 8 hours, called ThermaCare Heat Wraps. I don't know if you have something similar to that where you are, but if you do, I highly recommend them. Or a hot water bottle if you have one works too. At least with those, if your doctor says they are ok for you to use, you don't have to worry about getting burned. Take care hon.

Oh! Thanks for sharing that info. I don't think mine could last for more than an hour because it already gets too hot in 5 minutes, that's why I have to lower it back to "low" button or even switch it off if heat is no longer manageable. Wish I could also get that ThermaCAre Heat Wraps. At least I could still be able to get some sleep while putting it at my back. What do you think? This is really a help. I might buy that if in case I already have enough money. Thanks also for the concern, my friend. :)
