There are probably always going to be people who are going to nitpick about every little thing. I try to proofread my posts before submitting them too, but sometimes I miss something. The people who will complain about something so trivial are not worth worrying about. Just do your best and you will be fine.

Doesn't bother me as I know I do it also...I am great at spelling...but I type really fast and not very good at it. Also, sometimes the mis-spellings of words can come out really funny....It gives me a good laugh. :-)

Mis-spelling or wrong grammar doesn't bother me in the least. As long as I can understand what the poster is trying to get across it's fine.I have a spell checker in my browser so I can correct any spelling mistakes I make.

well, i'm quite turned off by those type of responses. but i also understand that it may be unavoidable at times. i always proofread all my responses before i post them. but there are a few mistakes that escape my eyes even when i have proofread it. there are also times when i would even check the dictionary for the spelling or correct usage of the word. there are others here who commit a lot of typos in their responses. and that i would say is reallly a turn off. it only shows that they just type and type without even bothering to check out what they've typed. it's impossible for those mistakes to slip your vision. when it comes to wrong grammar, it's okay for me as long as i understand what the author is saying or else i don't respond to it. we must understand that mylot is an international community and we are required to write in english. so those from non-english speaking countries may find it hard to write down their responses.

I did the same thing, so I understand my co-mylotters if they mispelled and had some wrong grammars. Nobody is perfect anyway.

I don't really mind about this. As long as the messages are clear that everybody can understand, that should be enough.

Yes, I will not be irritated to see that all. Most of time I also in a bit hurry to respond the discussions and there are some mistakes that come to me after just posting. So why I object others. We are here, not to criticise, but to share and feel cool & enjoy. Don't worry and I think by the passage of time things get normal. Good Luck and happy posting here.

I think people on myLot are very forgiving! I certainly make my share of mistakes, even tho I try not to. There are many, many people on myLot, however, who use English as their second (third, fourth etc.)language and may have a lot of grammatical and spelling mistakes. I think they are so smart to have more than one language, that I overlook any mistakes! As for the rest of us--I hope we will do the best we can, but don't let fear of mistakes keep us from replying. After all--myLot is not an English composition class!
