Internet explorer is best because it has been designed to view the broadest range of web pages without major problems. During the heydays of the historic browser wars, Internet Explorer embraced Netscape by supporting many of the progressive features of the time. For a long period after the introduction of version six, there was no further development on the browser. Major development on the browser restarted in 2004 for Windows XP SP2 and continues in IE7.

IE was never designed to view the broadest range of pages without problems. It was bundled with Windows and over time become the dominant web browser, but has never been up to the web standards set by the international w3c group. However, browsers such as Firefox and Opera are fully compliant with the web standards, and any page following the constructs of HTML and/or CSS will have no problems running any site, whereas IE will. You can start talking about javascript and flash too, but as long as the HTML/CSS is up to par, the other add-ins will be just fine as well.

Hands down, Firefox reigns supreme. Microsoft has made vast improvements with the release of IE7, but it still falls far short, especially in performance. If you really need to use Internet Explorer, just download Opera and set it to be recognized as IE.

Firefox is definately the msot suer friendly browser I have used. For me IE7 is too "chunky" and runs a bit slower, takes it's time to render some sites.

Hands up for Firefox! I'm a staunch supporter of Firefox. Dunno why. Somehow I just tend to think that IE is really unsecure, slow and chunky. Browses through the internet like a snail. Firefox rocks! And I love the add-on and extension features too. Although Firefox eats up RAM like mad, I still prefer it over IE due to its ease of use and friendly user interface minus all the technical mumbo-jumbo in IE that makes normal user like me feel like a retard.

Well, they all have plus and negative.
Which one is the best, depend on what we're up to.
Security or compatibility.
It's like yin and yang, dude.

Firefox is the best browser i used.i used opera firefox and IE.
Firefox is highly customizable. Easy to use.
IE is locked and and owned by mircosoft.
Opera gives great visual and good zooming feature, but kinda rigid.
Firefox is still the best though. lots of the addons to fullfill most things.

I think you can use both firefox and IE as your brower, for they all have their advantages.
Firefox can open a site more quickly than IE, espencially the pictures in the site.
However, sometimes , you cannot open a site using firefox, so at that time using IE is a good choice.
Now, I am using the two browers, it is so convenient. So I advise you to ust both.~~~~~~~~
