Do your children attend public or private schools?

Do you feel that your child is given better attention at a public or private school. Do they have better grades at private schools? I am considering sending my children to private schools and would appreciate any opinions or advice you have on either schools. Thanks.

My kids are in public schools at the moment. I have been satisfied with that so far. I am only disappointed with one of my kids teachers because she seems to be holding my daughter back a bit because she says she doesn't have time.
When I was a kid, I went to public school up to year six, then after that I went to a private school. I actually hated the private school. I found the kids and teachers to be very unfriendly compared to a public school.

Thanks for your comments. My 7yo sons teacher is fresh out of uni and thinks that she knows everything. She has had so many days off already this term also.

I have noticed with my daughters teacher, that she has been away for half of this term due to personal issues. I understand that things happen in their lives where they need to take time off sometimes, but I think she should take long service leave, that way they can get a substitute teacher in for however long. With the way she is doing it, they have a different substitute teacher in everyday. I find this really unsettles the kids.

My 7 year old is in the village school which is very good and tries to help him as best they can. My 3 year old is in private nursery as there is no school nursey here, luckily they do get some government funding and it's not far but it's a pain taking one to school and then going 1/2 mile to nursery as you cannot get them both in school for 9am, thiws mean sth little one misses the first part of his day and it's only for a couple of hours 3 mornings anyway!

I don't think so.
Usually she is with her Mom at work I think.
