Day 14: When God Seems Distant

The Lord has hidden himself fro His people, but I trust Him and place my hope in HIm. Isaiah 8:17
God is real, no matter how we feel.
It is easy to worship God when things are going great in our life- when he has provided food, friends, family, health and happy situations. But circumstances are not always pleasant. How do we worship God then? What do we do when God seems a million miles away?
* The deepest level of worship is praising God inspite of pain, thanking God durign a trial and trusting Hm when tempted, surrendering while surffering and loving Him when He seems distant.
I will never leave you nor forsake you. Psalm 37:28
1. Tell God exactly how you feel- pour out your heart to God. Unload every emotion that you're feeling.
2. Focus on who God is- His unchanging nature- He is God- he loves me, He is with me, he knows what Im going through, he cares and he has a ood plan for my life.
3. Trust God to keep His promises- During times of spiritual dryness we must simply rely on the promises of God, not our emotions, and realize that He is taking us into a deeper level of maturity. Let us not be troubled by trouble.
4. Remember what God has already done for us- When we feel abandoned by Gid yet we continue to trust Him, we worship Him in the deepest way.
Jesus gave up everything so that we could have everything. This alone is worthy of our continual thanjs and praise.

My reflection:
In times of distress I felt that God is rwally near me. It is one of the points in my life that I feel I am close to God. In all the days of our lives lets bring to all ou anxieties and our fears for it is through Him that we can feel a love that so true and He keeps His promises.

I times of distress and problems too I could really feel God by myside or him knocking on my door again saying not to take him for granted. Trials are meant to strengthen us and it times of trials and distress we would really feel how God is helping us.

I think it is great that you are sharing Rick Warren's book with all of us. I actually have it and have read it through a couple of times. I think it's a great book that everyone should read.

Yes, there are times that God seem so distant, but yet if we believe and trust in him.....things always will get better. God's way is never our way....so we must trust him. i'm learning everyday to just trust him.

Hello missladycc!
Its a band new learning that we get everyday, its glory after glory and God is moving the pieces in our lives to fit where he wants us to be. It is trusting Him more that we continue to grow in HIm.
