I just finished reading 'the world's most notorious men', and I found some of the stories there really informative!;)
I'm planning to read Tom Clancy's 'Power Plays', I got intrigued by some of his fictional stories. He is also the author of some of the great war/espionage movies like 'the hunt for red october', 'patriot games', 'sum of all fears' and 'clear and present danger'.

I like to read several books at once. Right now I am in the middle of "I Am A Cat" by Souseki Natsume, almost finished with "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins, and part-way through a short story collection by JD Salinger.

I love reading and read now 5 books at the time. For fun i read Wodehouse "Summer moonshine", also i read Katherine Neville "The eight"(cuz it got lot of good comments, with what now i disagree.Typical Dan Brown copier.) Then i read Tess Gerritsen The apprentice. Easy reading thriller ,just to put my brains on rest). On my road to work and back i read Boris Akunin " In and Jan" cuz i like his books and read everything he writes. And the 5th book is Dostojevski "The Brothers Karamazov" cuz its great writer and classic book.

wow! that's a lot of books.. i was thinking of doing the same.. and maybe like you, designate a book on a particular time of the day.. one when i go to work, one when i go home, when at work (LOL!), and one before going to bed. i don't think i would be able to manage 5. or maybe another one during unexpected times, like waiting in a long line or something.
thanks for your response!

It's "A Small Town In Germany" for me. It's a spy novel. I've just started reading it so I cannot yet give details as to what the story is. But, I know it's going to be a whack! just as the previous spy novels of the same author, John Le Carre.
If you're into Tom Clancy, Jack Higgins, Robert Ludlum and Leon Uris...you'll like the book.

Hahaha! 'That a compliment? ;p
John Le Carre...real name, David Cornwell. Some of his novels were made into motion pictures such as Russia House (Sean Connery & Michelle Pfeiffer) and Little Drummer Girl (Diane Keaton). And since you're into theatre arts, I'll lend you the latter.
Read how a theater actress, turned spy, brought down an Arab-Muslim terrorist leader who's a bomb expert and has taken the lives of many Israeli.

Right now, I'm reading "Nights In Rodanthe". All of his stories are really good. :) He is an amazing author. :D I hope you enjoy his books. Happy Reading and MyLotting, as well. :

I was reading N.O.W. No Opportunity Wasted by Phil Keoghan (Amazing Race) but have had to put it on the back burner. I am now reading "Smoke" by Elizabeth Ruth because I am going to meet with her for a one-on-one critique in May. I feel I have to have read one of her books before I meet her. I have another one here she wrote but I doubt I will get them both read in time. I'm spending too much time online. I should concentrate on my writing and what is coming down the pike.

I'm reading the latest "Year's Best Science Fiction" (twenty-third annual collection) edited by Gardner Dozois. I'm in the middle of a novella called "In The Quake Zone" written by David Gerrold who wrote "The Trouble with Tribbles" episode of Star Trek. Instead of earth quakes, the San Andreas fault is causing time quakes. The main character works for a kind of detective agency and bounces backwards and forwards running errands and trying to stop crimes before they happen. Pretty good so far. Just about all the stories have something worthwhile about them.
