Can I become emancipated?

My mom has been abusing my whole life. I do not feel safe in this environment at all. I've been able to deal with it, but it's becoming harder and harder for me and I am seriously worried for my well being. I am constantly depressed and full of stress. I don't have a job currently, but I'm in school and doing well. I'm committed and mature. I'm 17, 18 in six months but I honestly do not feel I can stay here much longer, and I'm going to need a route out anyway when I do turn 18.
How can I plead my case in Georgia?

I believe the law states that you would have to be legally able to take care of yourself to become emancipated.Meaning that you would have to be finacially able to take care of yourself. You would have to prove that you would be able to provide yourself a place to live and food to eat.

Yes You can, you can be emancipated, but you must being at school and not be stressed, or you can do it to the other country like at USA.

Have you tried talking to a school counselor?
That is a part of their job and would be a good place to start.
