The Prison Vs. Work Debate
IN PRISON...you spend the majority of your time in an 8x10
cell.
AT WORK...you spend most of your time in a 6x8 cubicle.
IN PRISON...you get three meals a day.
AT WORK...you only get a break for one meal and you
have to pay for it.
IN PRISON...you get time off for good behavior.
AT WORK...you get rewarded for good behavior with
more work.
IN PRISON...a guard locks and unlocks all the doors for you.
AT WORK...you must carry around a security card and unlock and
open
all the doors yourself.
IN PRISON...you can watch TV and play games.
AT WORK...you get fired for watching TV and playing games.
IN PRISON...you get your own toilet.
AT WORK...you have to share.
IN PRISON...they allow your family and friends to
visit.
AT WORK...you cannot even speak to your family and
friends.
IN PRISON...all expenses are paid by taxpayers with
no work required
AT WORK...you get to pay all the expenses to go to
work and then they deduct taxes from your salary to pay for
prisoners.
IN PRISON...you spend most of your life looking through bars
from the
inside wanting to get out.
AT WORK...you spend most of your time wanting to get out and
go inside
bars.
IN PRISON...there are wardens who are often sadistic.
AT WORK...they are called managers.

we have a prison near us ( well two actually) there has just been an extension built on the one at considerable cost , and the prisoners are complaining it is too hot , some of the pensioners in Scotland would have liked to complain about their houses being too hot in the last few months , Pensioners would be better off committing a crime and being pur in prison xx

lol! that is so true you make prison sound better than working a 9 to 5, but at least when you clock out off of your job, you are free and you can go anywhere you please.

Yes, work vs jail. To me is about the same because you do a work program to help get out of prison. Just because you have different meaning of work and in prison does not matter. Because in the real world nothing is free because people want to be in your business. But to me it also means that you are spending the time with the one that you love. That you are there for the ones that are in prison. I know from experience to not turn your back on the ones that you truely are doing their times because sometimes they are in prison for a crime that they did not commit becuase I do have family member that are doing what is expected so that they can be set free.

Oh yes the prisoners really get more than what the poor workers get it does not seem right does it so how does this all work out for us when you do the right thing you get punished and the prisoners are supposed to be in jail to work out their time but they have more luxuries than the poor working man/woman it does not make sense does it!!

Hahaahaahah that is effing hilarious!
Here is one for you:
So you want a day off. Let's take a look at what you are asking for. There are 365 days per year available for work. There are 52 weeks per year in which you already have 2 days off per week, leaving 261 days available for work. Since you spend 16 hours each day away fron work, you have used up 170 days, leaving only 91 days available. You spend 30 minutes each day on coffee break which counts for 23 days each year, leaving only 68 days available. With a 1 hour lunch each day, you used up another 46 days, leaving only 22 days available for work. You normally spend 2 days per year on sick leave. This leaves you only 20 days per year available for work. We are off 5 holidays per year, so your available working time is down to 15 days. We generously give 14 days vacation per year which leaves only 1 day available for work and I'll be darned if you are going to take that day off!

No then the kids would come visiting telling you how the housework is piling up...you'd get so stressed thinking about it....you have to do in the padded cell for a visit....the work would pile higher...the kids would visit....No no you are better off at work...
