Have you ever had one in your bathroom? I currently have a large bathroom with a clawfoot tub and love it. The only thing that isn't so good about it is that I had to purchase 2 identical shower curtains to fit around the whole tub....but it's such a beautiful part of my bathroom. Likes/Dislikes?

I have a clawfoot in the house and am hoping it survived the fire. I think it wonderful to soak in when I have spend the day in the garden in the sun. Soothing and cleansing it is a good reward by the end of the week. Takes too much water to use nightly. Part of a wonderful bathroom just off my bedroom. Wish us luck in getting back into the house this year.

When I was going to college I had one in an old house that I rented. I absolutely loved it! It is so nice and deep and the only way to take an honest soaky. I hope to one day have another one. I think they are so beautiful. When my daughters were in gradeschool they had a teacher who kept one in the classroom and she filled it with pillows. The children loved to sit in it and read. I think that teacher had the right idea.

It's so funny you should mention the preschool teacher. I know of another teacher who does that. She teaches first grade in PA....

We had a clawfoot bath in our home when I was growing up. It looked lovely but it was a nuisance when it was my turn to clean the bathroom as I had to wash the floor at the back of the claws and my mum would inspect it afterwards to make sure that it had been done right. They are really nice and I like them but I would never have one in my own house. A bath with panels on the sides suits my lazy lifestyle...lol.

My dad has one of these and absoulutely loves his .He says it is the first time he had a tub that he could lay in for a nice hot bath as he is tall and most tubs are not as long and he was never able to lay in the tub before . His is one of the old one's from years ago so in antique looking and he loves the style of it . I was amazed at how deep it was compared to a regular tub .

I've never had one, but they are lovely. I'm guessing they'd be highly impractical with children, but maybe someday...!
