Recently in China, there was a tragedy caused by pursuing star. A 68-year-old man suicided a few days ago. His daughter, who has been a crazy fan of Andy Lau(an famous HongKong actor and singer, as well as has great influence in Asia) for 13 years and has always been insisting on meeting Andy Lau alone, did not wake up yet.
The girl from Gansu province, mainland China, started being a fan of Andy Lau since 1994, when she was 16. Up to now, it was almost 13 years, and during these years, she didn't go to school or go out for work. She became a 'full-time' fan. She insisted that it must be some predetermined things between Andy and herself, altough Andy Lau didn't know who she was yet. And she said those predetermined things would happen when she met Andy. "I am not one of his fans, I don't admire him like others, I feel he is one of my family", the girl said to the journalist. What's more, her parents actually believed what she said, and supported their daughter to pursue her so-called dream.
During the 13 years, she tried many times to see Andy but all failed. Let's see what the family had done during the time:
*1994 She fall in love with Andy Lau in her dream.
*1997 Her father borrowed 10000Yuan to let his daugter go to HongKong, but due to there was not enough time, the girl only see Andy Lau's picture outside the door of Fan's club.
*2005 The family sold their house to raise money. Then the girl came to HongKong again, this time she went to Andy's house, but he was not there then. So she left a letter to Andy's neighbour and hope Andy could see the letter.
*2006 The father even tried to sell his kidney to raise money for her daugter, of course, for it was illegal, he could not have it done.
*2007 The family borrowed money from a loan shark, and came to HongKong together. This time, at a fans party, she really saw Andy Lau, and made pictures, played games with him. But she did not satisfied with these, she requested that she wanted to have a private talk with Andy. Apparently, the star's company could not allow this sort of thing.
May 27th,2007, left a 12-page long letter, the girl's father plunged into the sea. In his letter, he condemned that Andy Lau was a selfish man and he didn't care other's feelings. But at the end of the letter he still hoped Andy could meet his daughter once again.
Unfortunately, after his father's death, the girl still addicted in her dream. What will happen in her future?
These days, a lot of people talk about this, we think the girl and her parents are so crazy, perhaps she has some mental illness. Though this is a special case, but all those big fans should be alert.
What's your opinion on this thing? And have you ever done something crazy to your idol? Share with us!
