Am I the only person who watches anime but doesn't like naruto? I watched a few episodes, and it just seemed too...immature and i didn't liek the style. I jsut don't see why it's so good! Why is it good? What's so great about naruto? Does it get a lot better after the first ten episodes or so?

It's a decent anime; but the problem is that people make it out to be the greatest anime when it really isn't.

This happens with everything. It's impossible to please everyone. You shouldn't think that you are the only one that doesn’t like Naruto. There are probably a lot of people out there who doesn't like it either. I can say to you that I like it but I just can't say you why. Maybe it's because it is immature. Anime don't need to be always serious. And that's why there are a lot of types of anime, because people have different tastes. Don't force yourself into liking it. If you just don't like, don't watch. That is what I do when I don't like one specific anime.

Let me just say, get past the first 15 episodes, not sure the exact number but as soon as the Haku Zabuza fight comes in things get a lot more interesting. I thought Naruto was pretty immature at first, but the idea of ninjas with cool abilities hooked me enough to give the series a decent chance. Trust me, give it a chance watch at least the first 20. If you still can't stand it don't worry about. But really the series gets quite intense and emotionally deep which is a lot more than I can say for the first couple episodes.

well.. as we all know that naruto is a great movie or an anime but not everyone enjoys it, i am an addict of naruto and naruto shippuuden and i am pretty updated with it. at first, before i knew naruto, i dont like it, and i ask myself why those kids are very fond of naruto, until such time i saw the battle or the fight between fuzzy browz and gaara of the desert, i find it an interesting story and a good humor to watch. up to now i am still waiting for the next episode to be available in the internet, i have a complete collection of naruto and naruto the movie. so suits me..

I hated Naruto in the beginning. Seriously, I used to sit there with my boyfriend and cringe everytime the english dubbed Naruto would exclaim "believe it!" The writing was awkward, Naruto grated on my nerves, and I couldn't unstand why my boyfriend spent hours reading the manga. Like others on this thread have mentioned, you need to make it through a lot of exposition and set-up before you get to the good stuff. The anime can also be annoying because it can take five or six episodes to make it through a single fight. In the beginning it drove me crazy because I would feel like nothing really happened in the whole half hour episode. And yet, for some strange reason, I kept on watching it and now I'm hooked. More characters are introduced and a lot of them are really interesting. Also, Naruto begind to mature a bit as well because he finds friends and can calm down a bit trying to get attention all the time. The anime can still feel really slow at times, but now I like the characters too much to stop watching. I'm even comsidering picking up the manga to speed a long with the story a bit more. If you think you can stick with it, I say give it a chance. The nice thing is that no one can make you watch it if you decide after a few more episodes that it isn't for you. No point in boring yourself for no good reason. Good luck!

Naruto and One piece... these two really have place in my life... they convey some messages more than just an entertainment. They potray us.. human in the real world. Maybe there is some Naruto inside us... or some Oorochimaru..

Well, the first time I saw naruto (a picture of him plus a short clip a friend showed me), I was going to burst into laughter! Seriously, how the main character of this anime looks like, plus his blond hair, silly outfit (sorry, but that was my first impression), really gives a false impression about the whole anime.... I dismissed it as another wanna be ninja series.... It wasn't until I met some other naruto addicts, who all they know in this world was naruto... you hear them talking and discussing what seems to be resolutions to the world enivronmental problems, or some sorts of politics, but it was all naruto. I started watching it and I was hooked.... The storyline, the emotions introduced, plus tha amazing sound tracks and melodies, that I've never found the likes of before, got me hooked! I also discovered that it, unlike guys, isn't appealing to some girls... some girls dig only two elements in the naruto anime, and I made a pledge that I'll make my younger sis (who hates naruto like hell, because we keep talking about it) addicted to the anime! I was certain that when she reaches somewhere in the chunin exams (episodes 30+) she will become an addict. I paid her for every episode she watched until like the 30th episode, and she said that I was wasting my money and time... well, it didn't take her more than the haku saga to last for her to get hooked! during the sad episodes of haku and zabuza, she was crying tears! I knew then that my job was done!

Well, the dvd/movie version is quite "slow" for me than the comic version. Yes its get better after several episodes. I'm not a big fan of naruto, but its quite nice to follow.

I love naruto. I was hooked with it since episode 1. The thing I love about that series is how I can invoke all kinds of feelings in it.I feel there's a connection between that series and me. No matter the style as long as these anime series can connect to my emotions, they're fine.

Maybe you'll like the new series, Shippuden, where it's three years after the the Konoha incident and you get to see Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke matured. They have a new team member, the Akatsuki organization is putting their plan into action, etc.

I like naruto, actually I think it's the best anime. It does get better after the first ten episodes but I must say that even the first 10 are awesome. The whole thing with zabuza and kakashi and even the first episode with the kage bunshin

I don't like Naruto either, so you're not alone. I think it's another show, like Inuyasha, that is a huge fad and has more fans than it probably deserves. I have watched episodes and for me, it was even more slow paced than other fighting anime I have seen and wasn't very exciting. I'm not sure how it became so explosively popular... There are so many Naruto fans and cosplayers out there, that I think it's annoying for people who have been anime fans for a long time, since these people know nothing but Naruto and think it's the coolest show ever. I have heard some old-school anime fans get quite angry over all the "Narutards" out there.

If you don't like the anime, then I suppose you should read the manga (If you are used to reading manga)

Well I can understand your feelings here. I tried watching it back when it was new. I'm talking pre-north american release here. It didn't strike my fancy. Now that the new seasons out I watched alittle bit of that and decided I liked the new series. Things are cleaned up a good deal it's more serious, so far anyway. And I don't feel like a creep every time I think Sakura's cute. So despite beingnot wowed by the first season I'm watching it anyway. It's not that bad all things consideredm could be far far worse.
