What if you find a sarcastic remark from a close friend so hurting because there are other people around who hears all her remark. Would you think of a sarcastic remark in return which could spark a fight between the two of you and affect your relationship as friends?

Best response is a good long smile.
Second best is no response.
Worst thing is keeping in mind and then looking for a pay-back.
I think these guys, rather folks, just want some attention and they try to gain it by negative means and hence the sarcasm. Just try and give them some positive attention and guess most of them will be cured of their sarcasm. (PS: I know its easier said than done).

I know how it is easy to give advice but if you are the one who get hurt, it seems you want to fight back and argue. You have your point but I guess I am not the kind of person who will just smile and let the incident pass in my other ear. I will give a good argument. Thanks for your advice :D.

I always try to respond in a somewhat casual and cool manner because i wouldn't want our relationship to become affected by certain small and inlogistic arguments. I have seen that even a small argument can sometimes result in a friendship being broken, so take my advice, always try to keep your head cool and think about the future.

Thanks for the advice. Both of you give good advice but not all people in the world are the same. I can understand, but sometimes we had to think twice and giving another chance if the friendship will still work out between the two of you. It should not be that you are only the one understanding.

Yes, even the other friend should be understanding, otherwise it is a disgrace to have a friend like him/her.
