The Republicans can more seats in congress in 2008. The Republicans must keep in mind that the people voted for a change. They will lose more seats in 2008 if they continue to give up to the Democrats. On several key measures, while the votes have been close, the Republicans have given up on lobbying for crossover votes. Furthermore, the Republicans have an image to clean up. They must attempt to go back to a clean cut image where lobbying and money don't have that big of an effect.
