There is a mad gril in China named Yanglijuan who is the fan of Andy Liu, a very famous Hongkong star. Her father sold his kidney to support his daughter to chase Andy in Hongkong. But Andy refused to meet her and his father killed himself in Hongkong finally. I think in China, many parents spoil their kids. They try their best to satisfy all their kids' requirement even if the requirement is wrong. I think it is dangerous signal.
