There was a saying that breakfast is the important meal of the day however i tend to miss breakfast all the time. My friends say its not ok.
Do you think it is really BAD to miss breakfast?
Some of my friends they skip dinner and they say that was ok.
What do you think? Is it better to skip breakfast or dinner?

Lets make it simple eat when ever u are really hungry only really hungry .the hunger which arises while seeeing some food is not real hunger.drink water when ever u feel thirst.
it is better to listen to u r body than listening to other or some bodies.our body know when the need of food and it will ask u give it .otherwise forget it .and skipping is not going to make much harm i think. people say if u have mornign acivity u should take brea k fast .even if i take break fast it willget atleast 7 to 8 hrs for the absorbtion of its elements in my body.so how I am going to get the energy in the morning.

It is not good to skip meals, especially breakfast, as this is by far the more important meal of the day it sets your body up for the day, also most people who do skip breakfast find themselves snacking on unhealthy foods during the day. It is best to have lots of small meals, rather than three massive meals so that your body can digest them easily.

If you think about it, breakfast is the meal you eat after about 8 hours of not eating because of sleep. Dinner on the other hand, is the last meal you eat before you go to sleep. Base on this, do you think your body needs the food to give you the energy to sleep or to nourish you so as you can accomplish the task set out for the day?
I personally think that i must have breakfast because my body is out of nutrients for the day. For me, to miss dinner is ok but i will eat a very small serving for dinner if i do feel hungry.

i think your friends are saying correct. one should never miss breakfast as it gives energy the whole day. one can cut down in dinner or can even skip it because after that u donot work , you eat and sleep . you have minimal body movement after dinner so its difficult to digest .
never skip breakfast , it effects your metabolism too.

I can only speak from my perspective. They say you should eat breakfast. They also say you will gain weight if you eat before bed.
I do not eat breakfast and never did. I also skip meals frequently. I am in excellent health and a doctor asked me about my lifestyle the last time I got a physical.
I guess he was in shock that someone who smoked and ate whatever they wanted should be in worse health. LOL. I told him I eat a lot of onions and garlic. I don't exercise and drink a lot of green tea. I don't think they believed me when I said I do not work out because I am muscular with a small waist.
I eat before bed almost every day. I weigh about the same that I weighed when I graduated almost 20 years ago. So I never believed what they said and recently studies have shown that it is not true.
If I had to pick I would say skipping breakfast is better than skipping dinner. It might be easier for me to skip breakfast because I eat when ever I want throughout the evening.

u should never ever miss breakfast!! i used to do that and my energy level would be low all day and there's a tendency to overeat during other meals then... however skipping dinner is ok coz your metabolism is slower at night and when you sleep so you don't really need anything substantial for dinner...

Actually, it takes getting used to. I'm not a "breakfast" person but I usually get hungry at 10:00 AM, so that's when I eat a light sandwich. At 1:00 PM, I usually take my lunch (also a light one), then I have my snack at 5 PM, and my dinner anytime but not beyond 10:00 PM (a heavy one, I should say). The body usually secretes acid on the usual times we eat, so ulcers could be common to those who would suddenly not eat at their usual times. Eating breakfast is indeed important but if there's not much activity in the morning, then there's really no need to have a heavy one. The energy won't be spent, anyway. Thus, it's really case-to-case. I don't have much activity in my job in the morning, and the bulk is usually in the afternoon, so my meal schedule is just right for me.

If you wanna grow to big and strong, you shouldn't skip any meals. Other than that, I can't see what's the fuzz about skipping breakfast or any other meal. At work week, I never have breakfast and quite often don't have that much of dinner either. Maybe that's why I'm so crazy;)

If you are healthy and not too much overweight or underweight then skipping either isn't a really BAD thing. I'm not a breakfast eater and skipped breakfast for years and years and I'm still here to tell the tale, lol.
The reason they say breakfast is so important is that when you wake up you haven't eaten in 8-12 hours depending when you had supper or nightly snack. But if you skip dinner that will still give you the same time frame of fasting.
The latest weight loss theories says that skipping breakfast will make you hungrier later in the day so you will eat more calories to make up for it. Also "they" are saying that eating smaller meals more often will raise your metabolism, breakfast being the most important to get your system going as soon as possible in the day.
