For me, I think basketball is a game that involves socialization, since you are dealing with other people. Not if you prefer to play it by yourself. It is a good way of meeting new friends. You at least have a common interest. My daughter loves to play basketball. I encourage her to do so, because not only to boost her self-confidence but to gain more friends as well. This is really a good sport.
