How you put it, I think that is somewhat figurative (I hope). I wouldn't say that humans are the fuel that sets the world on its path but rather I see us as the turning gears that is being fueled by a lot of things, like for example: we work and do things for others because of Money, Love, Respect, etc.. Those are the fuels and we are the machine! I love your idea though that humans are very versatile beings, though we aren't as perfect as far as the belief goes 'the human body is a flawed machine.'

we can say human is machine in the sense it convert one form of energy into another form, and a fuel as it produce energy under action

A human does produce a fair bit of heat when burning due to the fat content. However it does take a lot of heat input to get him going as we have a 70% water content that needs to be driven off first. In Zimbabwe, my friends wife could not be cremated as the crematorium had run out of fuel and anybody that brought in a body to be burnt had to bring 5 gal/25L of petrol as well or no ceremony! They have severe fuel rationing there as well as 1700% inflation rate. What a mess!
