alot of states has changed laws on getting your dl. some states say you have to be 18. some make it where you cant have a c grade and you have to get the schools to give you a letter, some if you miss more then 9 days in a year of school etc. do you think school should be part of getting you dl? do you think 16 is old enough? do you think that making them wait till they are 18 is hard on parents? some states are requiring the 16 year old must have a job or wait till they are 18 is that right? what do you think?

I think that children having to maintain atleast a c average is reseanable. By doing that they are making teenagers preove that they are mature and responsible enough to be trusted with a dl.

i agree the grades should be considered. in texas they cant get a dl till they are 18 now. my sister in law is having a fit cause she cant drive her sone back and forth to work all the time and she wants him to have a job. his grades are good too.

Since driving is a privilege and not a right, I don't really have a problem with rules being applied to drivers before the age of 18.
