My sweet daughter lost her cell phone last evening while out feeding the horses. She came in and we went out with the cordless and rang her number. We couldn't hear it so we walked all around where she had been. While she was walking past the water pain in the mare and foal's stall she sees a light in the water. There it was at the bottom of a 8 gallon bucket of water still ringing....Fuunny thing was when she got it out of the water it went dead....Do you think it likes to swim? lol Got an funny phone happenings?

No not anything funny, but i lost mine after flushing the tiolet. I fished it up and actually that phone (after beeing blowdired) worked for a year - sureit behaved strange at times, but it was still functional. When I first read this -or started to read it , I wa sure to read that the phone was ringing frominside a horse or something *lol*

Well, I'm not so odd after all... I, too, had expected the phone to be inside the horse. (Great minds, and all that, huh?)

That is one of the worst places to find a cell phone. You are very fortunate that it worked once it was dried out. My husband has gotten a couple of cell phones wet. He took them apart and dried them in the sun. One worked fine afterwards, the other phone only worked sporadically afterward. I think he had to replace the ear speaker afterwards in the one that worked okay, because the water damaged the speaker.

hehee, that is funny, but costly. I was walking in the washes, and when I got home, the cell wasn't there. Well, I could not find it. A few days letter, taking my walk in the wash again, I saw a shine. There it was, a little deep in the dirt, but still worked. So glad I found it.

Yes well in regards to these cell phones there have been a couple incidents where my husband's cell phone actually disappeared and no one could find it so he rang it from the landline phone and it was under the middle to his bed it had rung all night keeping our daughter awake, but she could not find it until he came back home and phoned the number.

That is funny. Her phone must have been thristy, laugh out loud. That was a very good idea to call her phone though and just let it ring to find it. I wander why it worked in the water and not when she took it out? That is very weird. It looks like it wouldn't have worked in the water but possibly work when she got it out of there. Does it work now that it has dried out? I would wait a while before putting it back on a charger to make sure the water is totally out of there. She may get shocked if she does it before hand. I haven't lost my cell phone yet, but I have misplaced the cordless a time or two. All I did was push the button on my telephone charger and it made the phone keep beeping until I could find where it is at. It isn't very funny but it does happen to alot of it seems.

We sat in front of one of the little fan blowing heaters and this AM it's working ok.It was so weird to see that little light flash on at the bottom of the black pail in the dark stall....almost spooky.

Lol. Funny thing about mobile phones and water. I have accidently left mine in a pocket and accidently put it through the wash. And almost all of my partners brothers have forgot about their phones being in their pockets and went swimming with them. I didnt know that drying them out would make them work, but i needed a new phone anyways. As for my partner anh his brothers phone are all working, just my partners spear isnt working and does not charge properly. So weird about your daughters phone working uner water though, maybe a couple of minutes later and it mnay not of been working. My guess is the water had not gone all the way through the phone and the movement of her getting it out did.

isn't that sod's law sweety! imagine it being ok till it came out of the water - maybe you should just have learnt to speak under water lol thanks for the laugh and tell your beautiful daughter I'm sorry I laughed at her expense - you'll just have to save your mylot earnings to buy her a new one!

that was cool! yeah, i experienced it also, it was raining hard and i didn't have anything to cover myself. so, i have to move or to run quickly. when i entered a gate, my cellphone with its case and attached on my belt hit the portion of the gate and my cellphone dives-in the murky water and no choice, i have to get it quickly as i could. after i got it, i turned it off to avoid short circuits, wipe it and dried it by a blower about 30 minutes. amazingly it works as if nothing happens, all worked in normal conditions.

any phone will not work if it is pooled in water so it is better to prevent that situations
