the star is your mylot reputation. that is how other mylot users rate your quality responses. that's also the percentage of (+) positive ratings you receive from other mylot users when you start a discussion or for the quality of your responses to their discussions.

Thank you!! I was wondering what the 7 means and you said 75/100. Can you explain that part some more to me? I would appreciate it!! I still have a lot to learn about MyLot but I really enjoy it.

Thank you very much! I have noticed that you have a red star. That is wonderful! Do you have post a certain number of times to receive that color also? I'm trying to learn as much as possible about MyLot.

Congartulations on getting a star! Now just make sure that your posts will be good, so more and more members will rate you with a (+), and that way you can reach to 10th rating. You will be a respectful member if you will reach to that. I have some few advices to you on how to increase your earnings. First, you need to post quality and long discussions or responses. You can also upload photos whice increase your earnings here. I am uploading every day, and it increase my money very well.
There is also a link above every comment that you get to your discussions, that marks the member you want to give as a "Best response".
Good luck on your earnings, and reaching to 10th rating!

Thank you so much for the advice. I'm working on making my discussions and responses longer. I'm also trying to find some more interesting topics in my interest groups to start discussions on. I want to start uploading pictures too, that is something I'm still uncertain about but am anxious to learn how to do it. :)

Well it may have been against the rules but it helped us newbies understand a bit more and the answers have been very helpful so I hope it stays. Thank you for starting the thread. I can understand MyLot not wanting too many of these though as it would fill the place up. I think a lot of users do not know about the +/- and best response. It seems a shame that you gave the best response to a friend with a very short response and probably not the most useful to you or us. That's what friends are for. C'est la vie.

Hi there!
Thank you for your response. A lot of times I am hard pressed about what to mark as best response because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. I wish I could mark all of them as best response because everyone has been so wonderful to me since I have been a member of MyLot and it means so much. I'm starting to give my discussions longer times before marking a best response so I can give more people an opportunity. I want to help people out here as much as I have been helped. I am learning more and more all the time. Hope you have a wonderful afternoon!!

I have actually only been a member of MyLot for about two or three weeks now. I think I joined around March 14. I'm still learning a lot about this site but I will help you in any way that I can. The way to get a star is to make 100 posts, I do know that. I've been told also that when you upload pictures along with your discussions and comments that it helps to increase your earnings. That is something else that I'm going to try to start doing real soon. Just keep posting and soon you will have your star! I hope I have helped you some. :)
