Present Quota System - Is it a boon or bane?

It is certainly a bane . A person should not have prefferential treatment just by the virtue of which family he is born into . I agree that the weker sections of our society need help. But that help has to come in other ways . INstead of creating quoata more seats and arrange for quality education for masses so that even the weaker ones have enough chance to come to the front . Besides if a child not from the weaker section has put in more hard work to get the seat he deserves to get it and similarly for jobs . No reservation is required . Provide more oppurtunity instead so that more people get a chance .
