Are they partial ?

People often say that parents are usually partial or love their first more than the others? I'm second child of my parents.I sometimes feel it's right and other time I feel it's absolutely wrong.Similarly people used to say father loves his daughters more than his sons and at the same time mother loves her sons more than her daughters.I feel it Whats your opinion ? Do you feel the same
